As a caring practice and to comply with all the new legislations and regulations we take all necessary precautions to safeguard both patients and staff against infections. We follow current British Dental Association guidelines on cross-infection control.
We provide all the necessary services and facilities to comply also with the new disabled discrimination act. Both surgeries and reception are fitted with the latest air-conditioning and clean air system.
From 1 April 2006 NHS dentistry has changed .There are concerns about the new system and its impact on patients and dentists.
It is saddening to inform our kind and valuble patients that we were on 31 March 2006 offered a contract to provide NHS dentistry under new reformed system and we had to decline its offered funds, terms and conditions.This was in our opinion not acceptable because of insufficient funds offered to provide NHS dental care for limited sessions per week to all category patients on a first come first served basis!After careful consideration and looking into the terms and conditions from patient's,ours and NHS's points of view, we found this is unfair to patients, to ourselves and jeopardise the high standard and level of service we always offer our patients.
However,as an alternative and back-up plan from 1 April, we have introduced an alternative NHS fee system to match current NHS fees. For further information please contact our reception to pick up a leaflet and price list.
